St Peters Kitchen

Every year Dr Giangreco, Dr Preston, Dr Cortese, and many of the Get it Straight staff volunteer their time to serve the underprivileged at St. Peter's Kitchen on 681 Brown St near Bullshead in Rochester during the lunch hour. They arrive early to prepare the meal, serve the guests during the lunch hour, and clean up afterward.

St. Peter’s Kitchen has served the community on the West Side of the City for over 26 years. They provide a balanced nutritious meal for those in need during the lunch hour Monday – Friday. On average they serve over 160 people a day who come from all walks of life. St. Peter’s Kitchen is a staple for many people who live in the area. It is a safe, secure haven from the daily problems and violence of our city streets.

Patty Lorenzen, an orthodontic hygienist who was a valued team member of our practice for over twenty years, left Get It Straight to manage the facility and spend her days devoted to the less fortunate. It was a lifelong dream of hers. We feel fortunate we can volunteer our time every year to this worthy endeavor to help those less fortunate. After working with Patty, we can't help but see how fortunate we all are and count our blessings every day.
